About Me

I began my S2C journey in 2023 while working at a homeschool with a 10-year-old nonspeaker. I witnessed Spelling to Communicate completely change his world. Transitioning to an age-appropriate curriculum also led to significant changes in his regulation, mood, and school participation.

I became a certified S2C Practitioner through I-ASC, the International Association for Spelling as Communication. I spent over a year working with over 20 nonspeakers of all ages. Since becoming certified, I’ve worked in the Acalanes Unified High School District as a Para-educator and I now do S2C full time.

As someone who grew up with Selective Mutism, an anxiety-based communication disorder, I know the pain of having limited communication. I want to help nonspeakers have reliable and robust access to communication.
